Writing Eyeglass, Face to Face, was a different experience than writing Stained Glass and Looking Glass. The first two books give an overview of the pictures, while Eyeglass takes a closer look at a few of the details.

Eyeglass, Face to Face, theorizes about the hidden manna and white stone. It also discusses a possible connection between Jacob's ladder and DNA. In this study, the reader will have an opportunity to learn about God's throne in the heavenly temple. We can look forward to communing with the Lord in His kingdom. Eyeglass takes a look at the beautiful face of the Lord Jesus.

When we look at the east side of the picture, we see the Lord Jesus as the foundation for the New Jerusalem. "The Sovereign Lord says: 'See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation'" (Isaiah 28:16).

When we turn the main picture to the south side, the position of the Lord's body resembles a root or a shoot coming up from the ground.

(I am updating the information for the south side in Glass Treasure, The New Jerusalem. I have started to see it in a fresh way.)

"Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord" (Zechariah 6:12, KJV).

The west side of the Holy City is my favorite. The beloved disciple says, "I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple" (Revelation 21:22). When The BRANCH grows up out of His place, He will build the temple of the Lord (Zechariah 6:12). Basically, The BRANCH, as depicted in the picture, will contain all the parts of the temple. We see their fulfillment in the Lord Jesus.

The north side of the picture, I believe, illustrates the inside of a gate to the city. In Looking Glass, The City God Loves, I magnified some of the images to help us see the people within this gate. If you would like to read more, please click on chapter ten below (from Looking Glass).

The next book I hope to write is Glasshouse, The Garden of Eden. In this study, I would like to share about the Feast of Tabernacles. I believe the people we see within the gate on the north side could be those who have come to celebrate this feast. Ezekiel 46:9 says, "When the people of the land come before the Lord at appointed festivals, whoever enters by the north gate to worship is to go out the south gate; and whoever enters by the south gate is to go out of the north gate."

This would be a good time to share how the Lord is the temple. In Looking Glass, The City God Loves, I point out the different parts of the temple, which are fulfilled in the Lord Jesus. As we look at the west side of the picture, we see the altar of sacrifice on our right (see the red in the picture below). There is a lamb on the altar. The bronze bowl in the middle goes along with the altar of sacrifice. It is used to catch the blood from the sacrifice. In this case, Jesus is lying down on a longer altar, which is an extension of the lamb's altar. The Lord's blood is pouring out from His side into the bronze bowl. Right beside it is the bronze laver, which has a close connection to the bronze bowl. This one represents the water from the Lord's side. The priests would wash their hands and feet at the laver before entering the holy place.

Let's take a look at the far left of the picture. The lampstand is next to the censer. And the censer, I believe, represents the altar of incense in the illustrations. The bread bowl is above the censer. It is in line with the altar of sacrifice, which is also known as the table of the Lord. The lamp, the censer, and the bowl are bright because of the gold (as well as the glory of God). This, of course, is a very brief description. For more details, please read chapters eight and nine in Looking Glass, The City God Loves. Please click on the files below to open them. To me, they are the most interesting chapters in this book.
